Sydney started Iron Horse Exteriors with a passion for multi-family real estate, and real estate development.
Sydney D’Huyvetter grew up in Wisconsin on a dairy farm. He attended the University of Nebraska obtaining a degree in Mechanized Systems Management and a minor in Agronomy. Sydney loves agriculture and was fully planning on pursuing a career in that field until his uncle persuaded him to work construction with him one summer in Bozeman, Montana. Sydney enjoyed learning from his uncle and found he loved it. They worked on projects of siding, roofing, framing, and decking. That same summer Sydney met his now fiancée Megan.
When Sydney went back to college, he picked up independent jobs in Nebraska, doing a reside, decking, gutters, and some fencing. During his Senior year he bought a lot and built a duplex from the ground up. He did everything excluding the HVAC, plumbing, and electrical. He still owns and manages this property today.
When Sydney went back to Bozeman the following summer his uncle decided to get him started on his own. He began siding for a successful home builder in the valley. As Sydney was working, he saw the opportunity to grow his business, it was then that he began adding employees to handle more work. Sydney has since expanded Iron Horse Exteriors to accommodate the growing needs of the Gallatin Valley.
